1. SUBMISSION OF ENTRY FORMS
1) Professionals shall fax the completed entry form with a contact address, and proof of recognition by the China Golf Association or a recognized PGA.
2) Amateurs shall fax the completed entry form including their contact address, and proof of USGA Handicap Index together with verification from China Golf Association, other recognized golf association or golf club.
3) All entries start with immediate effect. Applicants who take part in Qualifying Tournaments should fax the entry form to the tournament office 9 days before the tournaments. After the tournament office has received an entry, it will post the applicant’s name on the official website (>>> check Entries Submission)to confirm receipt of entry. The tournament office will post all qualified applicants information on the Volvo China Open website 3 days after entries close.
ALL APPLICANTS SHOULD CHECK IF THEIR APPLICATION IS SUCCESSFUL.
2. ENTRY FEE
1) Entry Fee (International Qualifying): US$125/ RMB800
Entry Fee (South, Mid and North China Qualifying): RMB 620
2) Applicants should settle the entry fee at the venue before play
3) This payment covers entry for Qualifying tournaments and the Volvo China Open for those successful qualifiers.
4) The player’s entry is confirmed as final only after the entry fee has been received.
3. REMARKS
1) All entries are subject to the approval of the Tournament Committee which reserves the right to accept or refuse, or having accepted, subsequently reject any entry without giving reason for its decision.
2) The Tournament Committee may disqualify any player giving false information on his or her entry form or on accompanying credentials, and will report to CGA.
3) For mainland Chinese players only – A player can enter for more than one event (not including International Qualifying)
4) If entries are oversubscribed for a venue (and no spots are available in other venues), then those amateurs with the highest handicap index will be withdrawn from the Qualifying Tournament and so on until 120 players are determined. Where players have the same handicap index, withdrawal shall be based on date of entry. Regarding decisions on withdrawal, the committee classify women on USGA handicap index 1.0 the same as men on USGA handicap index 3.0.
5) Should entries remain oversubscribed after the withdrawal of all amateur entries, then club and teaching pros will be withdrawn based on date of entry.
6) Should entries still remain oversubscribed then:
a) For South, Mid and North China Qualifying Tournaments – the entry which has the lowest ranking in the CGA Rankings in force at the date of close of entries will be withdrawn first, then second lowest, third lowest and so on until 120 players are determined
b) For the International Qualifying Tournament – the entry is based on the following sequence categories until 120 players are determined.
- Category 1 European Tour Order-Of-Merit 2011.
- Category 2 OneAsia Tour Order-Of-Merit 2011.
- Category 3 Other Tours/PGA’s - Players who do not fall under the European and OneAsia Tour Order-Of-Merit will be based on level of earnings in US$ equivalent on their respective Tours/PGA’s in 2011.
A letterfrom the Tour/PGA must be submitted before close of entry. Of these Tours, consideration will be given first to Asian Tour, then Japan PGA, then Korean Tour, then Chinese Taipei PGA, then HK PGA. Thereafter entries will be based on date of entry.
7) No refund will be made to any successful applicants.
